The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at Ondokuz Mayıs University School of Health Sciences was established in the 2009-2010 academic year and began teaching with 25 students admitted through additional quotas in the same year. It graduated its first students at the end of the 2012-2013 academic year. Since 2016, it has continued its education and training under the umbrella of the Faculty of Health Sciences. Our department continues its education in modern classrooms and application areas in its new building established within the university campus. Our department has a total of 14 faculty members/staff, including 8 faculty members, 2 instructors, and 4 research assistants. The Nutrition and Dietetics Program provides vocational education and training to students who have earned the right to enter the department based on their numerical scores in the University Selection and Placement Exams, having graduated from high schools and equivalent vocational high schools. The language of instruction is Turkish.
