Students who successfully complete the program graduate with a bachelor's degree and the title of “Dietitian.”
Admission and Registration Requirements
To apply for the program, you must obtain a valid score on the ÖSYM (SAY score) exam. Students who obtain a valid score can apply according to the registration dates.
Rules Regarding the Recognition of Prior Learning (formal, informal, non-formal)
In the department, education and training are conducted in person or online in accordance with theoretical and practical education principles. Additionally, students can participate in field applications appropriate to the scope of the course they are enrolled in and take part in social responsibility projects.

To successfully graduate from the program, students must complete a total of 120 course credits, 30 elective course credits, and 240 ECTS credits.

The Nutrition and Dietetics program consists of theoretical and practical courses. Graduates who successfully complete the program and earn the title of “Dietitian” can be employed in the fields listed below.

Inpatient and Outpatient Treatment Facilities: Kidney Disease Care Units, Diabetes Treatment and Care Units, Metabolic Disease Units, Enteral-Parenteral Nutrition Support Units, Oncology Units, Rehabilitation Units, Transplantation Units, Cardiology Units, Intensive Care Units, Mental Health and Disorders Units
2.Public Health Centers: Family Health Centers, Healthy Living Centers, Sports Complexes and Gyms, Nursing Homes, Child Welfare Institutions, Food Control Laboratories, International Food and Nutrition Organizations, Media Tools and Centers
3.Mass Catering Services: Schools, Daycare Centers, Hotels, Nursing Homes, Food Processing Plants, Public Institutions, Air Transportation Services, Maritime Transportation Services, Railway Transportation Services, Restaurants, Healthcare Facilities
Transfer to Higher Degree Programs
Students can apply to master's and doctoral programs in Nutrition and Dietetics.
Exams, Measurement, and Evaluation
Students are required to take one midterm exam and one final exam for all courses during the academic year. Additionally, in practical courses, assessments related to practical work are added to both the midterm and final exam scores to calculate the final grade. Depending on the content of the practical course, short exams, oral exams, practical exams, activities, projects, and seminar notes are used for assessment. Practical courses are assessed according to the criteria defined in the practical assessment forms.

Department Facilities
The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics is located in the Faculty of Health Sciences building, which features spacious classrooms, application laboratories, reading and relaxation areas, providing a comfortable learning environment. The department houses a Nutrition Laboratory, an Anthropometry Laboratory, and a Chemistry Laboratory, as well as the faculty's Computer Laboratory and classrooms. Additionally, social areas such as the reading room, conference hall, seminar room, and cafeteria located in the faculty building are available for use by Nutrition and Dietetics Department students.
